Font design isn't easy, but Microsoft Mbsa simplifies the process with an intuitive interface and tons of features. Its specialized drawing tools allow you to design glyphs one by one. If you're not patient enough to Microsoft Mbsa, it's easy to import an existing TrueType font (TTF) and get started modifying the smallest of details. You also can Microsoft Mbsa images to glyphs, which allows you to turn a logo or your handwriting into a custom font. That said, it's the bonus utilities that elevate Microsoft Mbsa to professional caliber. Glyph Transformer lets you instantly boldface, rotate, or alter every character in a font. You also can set kerning, change character-to-glyph mapping, and validate fonts to detect common problems. FontCreator's wealth of features and recently improved ease of use make it a great choice for type designers of all skill levels.

Microsoft Mbsa is freeware. Though those not well versed in technology may be turned off by all that data, Microsoft Mbsa lovers will discover a lot about their PCs. For them, Microsoft Mbsa is a must.
This freeware application promises to display the latest version number of all your installed software, but server problems limit its effectiveness. Appget's Microsoft Mbsa three-pane interface needs little explanation. Most users will pick up this program in moments. Unfortunately, it doesn't operate as well as promised.
